The family of amuch-loved dad from Derbyface having to sell some of his items to raise money to pay for a proper send-off following his tragic early death. Terry Andrews, known by those close to himas either TJ or Teej, 45, who lived in the California area of the city, sadly passed away on October 22, less than two years afterhis family was stunnedby the heartbreaking discovery of stage four cancer in his lungs.
His former partner of two years, who remained in his life as a best friend, Larn Wood, 34, manager of an events business, and their daughter Leah, 17, have described TJ as a kind, loving, and quick-witted joker who lived for his daughter.
TJ, a car valeter, was also incredibly close to his brothers, Mark Green, 47, and Philip Andrews, 43, and his sister Shelly, 41, as well as his two-younger brothers Kyle, 31, and Matthew 29 - the latter sharing TJs birthday despite the large age gap.
Now, to cope with funeral costs, a family fun day at Marehay Miners Welfare on Saturday, November 12, has been organised to raise funds for TJs funeral so his belongings do not have to be sold off.

Larn said: Its mainly all of his household items, generally whats in his house. TVs, furniture, anything really that hes got were going to have to sell. The family has started the process.
Ive organised a family fun day because we dont want to let the things go, theyre memories of him. The fun day will also put the pressure off the family, hopefully we can raise a lot of money to give him a good send-off.
He was just loved by everyone. He was quick witted, really funny. He had the personality of a joker. He also really loved his cars; he was a car enthusiast with a mad passion for cars. He loved his job as a valeter, thats actually where I met his best friend, Paul.
But his main purpose in life was his daughter. He only has one child, and he lived for her. He did everything for Leah, I couldnt have wished for a better father - he was just amazing. Fantastic. He didnt realise he had the cancer, he thought hed pulled a back muscle. He didnt deserve it.
Leah, who wants to study either fashion design or nursing at college after a gap year, said: My dad was always my best friend. I would choose him over anyone anytime. He was so caring, I cant even put it into words.
He had the biggest heart ever, and he would always spoil me. He definitely wasnt an average dad - it might sound a bit cringey, but he was a cool dad. He was always taking us out in electric cars, and he drove us to the beach every few weeks for no reason.
TJs cousins, Jo Woolley, 50, who works at Mickleover Court Hotel, and Mandy cared for him every single day.
She said: He wanted me to look after him until the end. He never once complained. When he was diagnosed with cancer, he was the bravest man that I will ever meet. He never said, Why me? He was relatively young, and we want to make sure his memory is kept on. For Leah, its been very tough for her, shes only 17.
TJs siblings Mark, Philip also cared for him but as his condition worsened he told them that he would rather Jo and Mandy did more. This is because, as Mark said, he was protecting our future memories of him.
